Cultureverse Summer Camp

Join us for Reading With A Rapper Summer Camp at Freedmen’s Town Visitor Center!
For 3rd–8th graders, this program blends hip-hop culture with literacy, music, and technology to make learning fun and relatable for under-resourced youth. By creating and analyzing songs about Freedmen’s Town, students build literacy skills and explore local history through hands-on activities. This curriculum is designed to bridge educational gaps, boost digital access, and ensure students from historically marginalized communities receive high-quality learning experiences.
Dates: 7/14/2025 – 7/18/2025 from 9:00AM – 3:30PM

9AM – 10AM Check-In/Breakfast and FT History
10AM – 11:30AM – Session I
