Celebrate the power of education and community where it all began in Freedmen’s Town at Community Day for Back to School!
As the birthplace of Houston’s first African-American public schools, Freedmen’s Town stands as a powerful symbol of self-determination and collective progress. This Community Day, we’re celebrating that legacy!
What to expect:
– Back-to-school bags FREE with registration below!
– STEM Workshop with Mommy and Me
– Line Dancing with DJ Mike
– Planet Fitness Activity Station
– Gourmet catering by Lemond Kitchen
– Prizes, games, and family fun ALL DAY long!
