Star Academy: Reading with a Rapper

Star Academy at Freedmen’s Town is a 2-week program that brings together hip-hop, history, and reading in one live experience 📚🎶. From June 9 – 12, and 16 – 18, this Innovative program is powered by Reading With A Rapper’s edutainment pedagogy using music and real conversation to help students see literacy in a new light. Students will be able to compete in the inaugural Sports based spelling bee championship experience “The BEE” on Juneteenth!Â
