Program Overview
CULTUREVERSE IS A Four‑day summer program focused on creative expression, literacy, and the cultural history of Houston’s Black communities. Morning workshops and creative sessions are led by
Reading With A Rapper (RWAR), paired with a three‑day CultureVerse Crawl featuring field trips that highlight neighborhoods and institutions central to Houston’s Black history.

CultureVerse Crawl Field Trips (Tuesday–Thursday)
- Tuesday, July 14: Freedmen’s Town featuring the Houston Freedmen’s Town Conservancy and a Historic Brick Street Tour
- Wednesday, July 15: Third Ward featuring Project Row Houses and The Eldorado Ballroom
- Thursday, July 16: Fifth Ward featuring the DeLUXE Theater

- 8:30–9:00 AM — Drop‑Off
