We’re closing out Juneteenth 160 Fest the only way we know how — with joy, rhythm, and the ultimate vibes courtesy of Soul Control, the dynamic DJ collective led by Houston’s own DJ Elevated and Mookie Copeland. Known for crafting genre-defying, soul-shifting sets, Soul Control creates sonic experiences that move the spirit. With credits that include spinning for icons like Jill Scott, Kendrick Lamar, Erykah Badu, and The Roots, and as cultural curators for spaces like the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, this duo represents the pulse of the city’s creative scene.
Expect a dance floor full of energy, Black joy, and community celebration as we close out the festival with gratitude and groove. Whether you’re stepping, sliding, or vibing out with your people, this is your moment to move.
