THIS SATURDAY! šāļø Celebrate springtime at Freedmenās Town Visitor Center from 11 AM – 2 PM! Bring your favorite games, participate in art-making projects, and a movie screening! All ages are welcome, and refreshments will be provided.

The Freedmen’s Town Visitor Center is located at 1204 Victor Street, Houston, Texas, 77019. Parking is available at the African American History Research Center at the Gregory Campus 1300 Cleveland Street, Houston, Texas 77019.
The Houston Freedmenās Town Conservancy is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that protects and preserves the history of Freedmenās Town for the benefit of future generations. We support community engagement, re-education, and heritage tourism.
Funding has been provided to the Houston Freedmenās Town Conservancy from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) as part of the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act of 2021.
