Spring Break Drawing Outpost with Alexis Pye

March 11 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join CAMH at Houston Freedmen’s Town Conservancy (HFTC) Visitors Center for a drop-in outpost inspired by CAMH’s exhibition Tomashi Jackson: Across the Universe and focusing on drawing-based art-making activities with artist Alexis Pye.

This Spring Break Drawing Outpost will focus on drawing a still life, with multiple subjects to choose from and an opportunity to layer your drawings using collage. This Outpost will include drawing activities from 1–3PM followed by a tour of HFTC exhibitions and the brick streets 3–4PM.

Attendees of each workshop are invited to choose one drawing that will be on view in CAMH’s Cullen Education Resource Room for the duration of the Spring Break Community Celebration.

All supplies will be provided.

Join us for only one or all of our Spring Break Drawing Outposts. Guests 16 or younger must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or other responsible adult. RSVP is required. Please visit: Spring Break Drawing Outpost | Houston Freedmen’s Town Tickets, Wednesday, Mar 11 from 1 pm to 4 pm | Eventbrite
